A web key is a device which is pre-programmed with a URL / web address and connects to a computer through a USB port. Once the USB connector of the web key is plugged into the USB port it is seen as a drive on a PC. Depending upon the security settings on the PC, the web key will either auto-launch the web browser and take the user directly to a programmed URL (web link) or will be seen as a drive and the link will have to be ‘double-clicked’ to open the browser and go to the programmed web page.
